Two months later, prosecutors say a different co-worker, 29-year-old Cody Labonte of Muskego, began extorting the man online.

Labonte allegedly threatened to "distribute flyers all over the City of Muskego to ruin his reputation." He demanded $2,000, which the victim paid via Venmo.

A few weeks later, the victim paid another $2,000 under the same threat.

Prosecutors say Labonte kept up the threats.

The victim texted, "Now leave me and my family alone!!!" to which Labonte allegedly responded, "I will once the money hits."

By then, police were involved, and the victim reported the scheme to the Muskego Police Department.

Neither man was home when WISN 12 News stopped by Thursday.

Both men are ordered to appear in court later this month.
